Avimix
A already mix of nutrobal and ACE-high in the ratio of 2:1, this provides the ideal mix for birds whether growing, breeding, or simply being kept as pets. We have found that putting an amount into the palm of a clean hand or knife-point and blowing it at the food, scatters it well and increases palatability by the spreading it well. Some aviculturists like to use Avimix in a pepper pot, which also works well.

Avipro Plus
A probiotic combination of bacteria, enzymes, electrolytes and vitamins. Its high palatability means it can be added to the drinking water. For general use as routine nutritional aid, especially useful when birds diets are being changed or when moulting, or when birds' are being conditioned for the breeding season. A very important aspect of this is the use by the veterinary surgeon in birds that are under treatment with antibacterial where the normal flora may be unbalanced and a bloom of inappropriate bacteria may occur, causing perhaps hemorrhagic enteritis. This use has proved high proportion or milk solids. We have no problems associated with this but other lactobacillus products have, therefore we caution against it. Critical Care Formula
The ultimate product for parenteral nutrition of birds. Anorexic patients or birds with wasting problems can be helped during treatment by parenteral feeding. Very use for pigeons for pre and post-race conditioning. In its powder form it can be stored for months, allowing small amounts to be used over a long period, compared with other liquid products that have to be used within 24 hours of opening.

Ace-high
A supplement formulated to provide high levels of vitamins shown to be involved in aiding animals such as fish, birds or reptiles through periods of stress and disease. Primarily it is a mixture of the vitamins A, C and E along with smaller quantities of other vitamins and minerals including B1, B2, B6 and B12. Certain groups, particularly psittacines and Australian Finches have been shown to have a high requirement for vitamin A, which is often not met from the diet. Seed-eating psittacines actually get very little, even those getting fruit and carrots. Deficiency problems range from poor fertility, pneumonia, feather plucking in adults and even kidney disease. |
